Use Characteristics Delayed action accelerator Konson®® TBBS-80 for NR, IR, BR, SBR, NBR, and EPDM. It is suitable used for high temperature kneading and provides a considerably long scorch time, great processing safety and a fast full cure. Konson®® TBBS-80 is used as a independent accelerator for the low sulfur vulcanization or together with dithiocarbamate or thiuram accelerators. The vulcanizates obtained have good ageing resistance and good moduli. The curing rate of mixes containing Konson®®TBBS-80 in combination with thiuram and Dithiocarbamate is noticeably reduced. Thiourea has a strong secondary acceleration effect on Konson®®TBBS-80, mainly in mixes containing little sulphur. In compounds which are accelerated with mercaptanes and thiurams, Konson®® TBBS-80 may delay scorch.
Processing Advantages The thermoplastic, excellent compatible EPDM/EVA binder which is combined with active dispersing promoters allows much more easily and quickly incorporation and excellent dispersion in the rubber mixing. In this way, optimal activity of the effective TBBS is assured.
